Long-term or short-term denial?
Quote from John Eros on June 7, 2023, 3:22 amWhat is your preferred length of orgasm denial/edging before allowing release?
Long-term or short-term denial: Both certainly can have their pros and cons. I personally have never been fond of long-term denial, as I feel the build-up of pleasure should always have an outlet where possible. Due to this, I like to ensure that when an orgasm is possible, a teasing session always ends with a climax and that any period of denial before the session is not necessarily more than a week at most.
For myself, I also feel anything more than a week is unnecessary.
However, long-term denial can be beneficial if getting some sensitivity back is needed. Such as if desensitisation has occurred from overuse of toys (typically vibrators) or too much constant edging.

Quote from Guest on September 8, 2023, 8:49 pmI'd say the fantasy is long term, also reading erotica about short term does not do that much for me.
But in real life, I found out that I find short term more interesting
With long term denial, at some point my sexuality will simply fade. My desire for orgasms will decrease.
With short term that doesn't happen.
For maximum effect ideally a teasing session would not always end in an orgasm though. Knowing for a certainty that a session ends with an orgasm will keep the desperation and therefore the arousal at least a little at bay. So some uncertainty is the sweet spot...
