What are some processes you follow to stay safe when engaging in tantalising fun (online and in-person) with others? 

Whether online or in-person, I follow a few rules for meeting with someone (and recommend them for partners I play with in both settings).

Online - Ensuring that text and audio come before any video involvement to get more familiarity with the person. Even if a webcam becomes involved, ensuring the interaction is non-sexual, to begin with.

In-Person - Only after numerous phone and online interactions. Once a meeting is set up, it's always in a public setting, such as a coffee house, and someone else knows the time and location of the meeting at every stage.
